Climate Scientist James Hansen Supports Power Vote!
World-renowned scientist James Hansen of NASA joined youth leaders from across the United States earlier this week on a tele-press conference hosted by the Energy Action Coalition to formally launch Power Vote to the media.
Communications director extraordinaire Brianna Cayo Cotter was on top of her game, hosting journalists from the likes of 60 Minutes and The Guardian.

• 250 litres of water are needed to produce 1kg of wheat, and 25,000 litres to produce 1kg of meat
• The water used to produce 5kg of meat is equivalent to the average consumption of water for an entire household for an entire year!

I just want to say that even though I am in my 50's I am completely behind this. I am once again a student, and I want to see us divorce ourselves from all fossil fuel because it's such a devastating energy source. We CAN be energy independent by using locally appropriate renewable sources for energy generation. All we need to make that happen is favorable tax laws and the will to create a healthy green economy. The Earth is our only home. Let's take care of it better!
